Cole Creger: Selected for the 2015-16 U15AAA Belle Tire Team

Two weekends ago I was invited up to the Hockey Fights Cancer Tournament in Detroit, Michigan to play for the Belle Tire U-15 spring team. During the tournament I had a great experience playing with a lot of talented players. I enjoyed being able to play against and with players of different style of play. I played on the yellow team and we made it to the championship game against Honeybaked. We lost in a shootout after a scoreless overtime.  Our team placed 2nd in the tournament.

During the weekend I had 2 goals and an assist. The players were very welcoming to me and continue to make the transition easy! As of Sunday May 24th I was officially selected to play on the U-15 AAA Belle Tire for the 2015-16 season. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to play for Belle Tire in the upcoming season. As I prepare to move away from home, I am focusing on training this summer as my camp with Sioux City is just around the corner!

Thanks to the coaching staff and my brother for giving me the opportunity to compete for a spot on the U15 team!

Cole Creger Receives Invite to Musketeers USHL Futures Camp

I’m extremely happy to announce that I was invited to the Sioux City Musketeers USHL Futures camp. I am super excited to participate in this camp coming up June 12-14.

I hope to make a good impression with my skill and physical play in the camp and look forward to meeting the coaching staff. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to develop a good relationship with the coaches so that they can evaluate me through next season at the U16 level, in my last year before junior eligibility.

I would like to take this chance to thank the Sioux City Musketeers organization for the invite. I hope to spark some interest at the Futures Camp and begin a good relationship with the Musketeers.

Cole Creger WHL Weekend Update

This weekend I attended the WHL combine in Anaheim, California. I had a really good time at the camp and being able to play with and against a lot of very talented players. There were four teams at the camp, about 80 players attended the combine. We were treated extremely well during the weekend; Under Armor and Gatorade were both great sponsors and supplied us with gear.

The weekend included on and off ice testing, both which I feel like I performed well in. I came in second overall in the 20m sprint and fourth in the med ball throw test. I am currently waiting on the on ice testing results to come in but I felt like I compared really well with the other players that I tested with.

During the games I played extremely well. I tried to focus on being very physical and performing the best I could offensively. Unfortunately I wasn't able to score as much as I would have liked, but I had several shots in each game and was able to create plenty of turnovers in the offensive zone for scoring chances. Overall I think the weekend was a success and I am very excited to see what comes from the Bantam Draft in a few weeks!

Also I would like to send out a special thanks to the Kambitz Family who were extremely helpful with travelling and letting me stay with them for the weekend!
